We just finished FFPS Challenger North division lake Dar Saturday competition.
We won the competition !
It was the lake which we never fished before. So It was very hard to know to find a fish. Thanks to my local friend, We had some information of lake geographic. We went directory to deep spot area of the lake. We scan with my fish finder for 20 mins fore start actual fishing. Then we found a spot 6m to 9m drop off shoulder bottom area with big glupe of bait fish area. It was totally different situation compare to other place. ( We see the food cycle)
So, we stayed all day (8 hours with out moving). using my electronic motor “spot lock” mode.
We see the perch in the bottom. But, The perch was inactive…. So, We fished very fitness fishing with drop shot rig with 3.5g weight with 2 inch very small soft lure. The main technique was « Do nothing » . Since Perch was not active at all. minimum presentation was the key. No shaking, No aggressive lure movement.
We used TN 8 braid 0.12mm as main line. then 2m of TN FC leader 0.18mm as leader.
For the rod & reel , I was using Prorex AGS 702LFS with Certate 2004CH, Mayeul was using Prorex XR 672MLXS with Caldia 2500.
The fish bite was very minimum. So sensitive light action rod was perfect for this situation !!!
We are very satisfied this competition result. And also our 2nd victory of the year 2017.
Thank you very much all of our friends & Supporters and all our Sponsors for supporting our team !

Summer salt water fishing in Normandy with Mr.Jun-san.
Nice blue sky weather with water temp 22c.
We fished underwater structure from 9m to 24m.
Fishing was not easy. but, We had some bite and some SeaBass !!!
I really had good time ! Thank you Jun-san !!!
My tackle was Daiwa Morethan AGS 80MH + Certate 3012H + TN8Braid EVO PE1.5 + TN FC Leader 0.30mm
Lure > Daiwa shad 12cm, D’Fin10cm, Fiiish Black Minnow
We won the FFPS north division challenger Saturday 1st of July at Seine river.
With my new competition partner Mayeul Chevalier. We have 25 years of age difference.
Just like father & son. I wish is only one thing ! I want educate him as next generation strong zen attitude Fisher.
That is my goal.
Last week competition was very difficult. The fishing zone was change in last mins by Organizer. So, It was totally new zone for us.
Since water is still not enough. The river current is very very slow… Water temp of 22c.
It was very difficult competition.
Understanding this actual situation, my goal of this competition was seeking for Pike. That was the only way, we could be on podium.
So, I was fishing only big bait lures. Big Soft shad, Big, Hard lure, Big Spinnerbait, etc….
Using my Fish finder, I was not able to see any individual nice size fish. (except some Silure)
So, I was sure Pike is hidden in weeds vegetation. and my guess was correct !
The winning lure which was Daiwa Prorex CLASSIC SHAD DF 25cm armed with assist 1/0 size hook on top of back body.
So, my lure will not pick up weeds or leaves of under water vegetation. and still can swim very close to under water vegetation. (if I was fishing very deepwater situation, I would always put my assist hook on berry of lure)
Thanks to this technique. we are able to fish 1 Pike and 1 Silure form shallow vegetation area (1m deep). Of course ! , Mayeul’s net landing was perfect too !
The tackle I was casting my Prorex CLASSIC SHAD DF 25cm was, Rod > PROREX XR PXX762XHFBAF, Reel > Zillion Type HD, Line > Saltiga 12 braid 0.18mm, Jig Head > D’jig Head 15g 8/0, Assist hook > Home made.
Thank you very very much for all your support for our team.
We will continue for next competition !!!
I was in Basse-Normandie for business trip. Of corse night time is free time. So, quick seabass fishing after nice dinner !
The fishing location was just behind of restaurant. nice port. Looking for the street light which is hitting to water surface.
Start fishing with 10cm minnow hard lure. From 2nd cast. We had some small Seabass chase. But not hitting to lure. So, Change to small 8-9cm soft shad lure with light jig head(7~8g).
Bamm~, From 1st cast. SeaBass was hitting very aggressively. We fished may be 2 hours of out going tide. I had 2, My friend Reo had 5. We had excellent after dinner party !
My tackle info: Rod > Daiwa Morethan 80M, Reel> Certate 3012, Line> TN 8 braid PE1, Lure> B’freez 100, Duck-fin 9cm with SS7.5g Jighead, Fiiish Black Minnow #2.
Until now, I was using external transducer(XTM 14 20 HDSI T) at bottom of my Minnkota Terrova. But, not anymore ! Thanks to MKR-US2-8 Adapter cable. Now, I use 2D Sonar is is coming directly from internal Sonar US2 of Terrova BT. And Side imaging & Down imaging information are coming from my external transducer at back of my boat. It is so convenient & trouble less. Reason why is no more transducer cable around shaft of Terrova. And also, Since my rear transducer is always fix. So. my Side imaging & Down imaging’s image is so clear and accurate. In the and, even my Terrova BT is out of water during my navigating. My Side imaging & Down imaging is arrive from rear transducer. So, I can look at GPS info & 2D at console Helix, and at same time. I can see Side imaging & Down imaging image from my front Helix.
It is so cool system link now !!!
